As any Dollywood host will tell you, our company is a special place to work. Not only do we produce one-of-a-kind experiences and memories, but we also have a great team. While some offices may advertise that they have a “work family” atmosphere, that comment could not be more truthful when speaking of the Dollywood family. The love I have for this company and its employees is incredibly genuine, and the love I receive in return is, too.

Working with a Top Employer
Recently, Forbes published its list of America’s Best Mid-Size Employers in 2022. Can you guess the only theme park and resort company to make the list? That’s right, Dollywood! After examining thousands of companies across the country, Forbes placed Dollywood as one of the top 500 employers in the nation. The best part, their evaluation was based directly on employee feedback. It isn’t obscure numbers and data telling you that Dollywood is a great place to work, it is the employees themselves bragging about their company. Working with an awarded company is always a good thing, working with an employee-rewarded company is a very rare thing.
Free Tuition Program
Another recent announcement that adds to the Dollywood working experience is the Grow U. program provided by Herschend Enterprises, Dollywood’s parent company. The new program, launching on February 24, will cover 100% of tuition, fees and books for its 11,000 employees who choose to pursue further education. Grow U. is available to part-time and full-time employees and hosts more than 100 fully-funded (100% free) diploma, degree and certificate programs.
This is just the latest installment in how Herschend Enterprises and Dollywood try to provide for their employees beyond a simple paycheck.
Dollywood goes above and beyond when it comes to employee benefits:
There is an on-site Family Healthcare Center, and it even remains open in the off-season! This center provides numerous services to Dollywood employees AND our families.
Dollywood pays a portion of childcare costs for hosts whose children are enrolled at a WeeCare-affiliated provider.
While on the clock, Dollywood provides us with a free meal courtesy of the award-winning culinary department.
When hosts are not at work, we receive complimentary admission to Dollywood and Dollywood’s Splash Country for family and friends.
Through Dollywood’s Parks Perks ticket exchange program, we even get to take advantage of free or reduced admission to many regional attractions, theaters and experiences.
My list just begins to scratch the surface of what makes this company such a special one to represent. Loving what you do is a very important aspect of any job, but loving who you work for is a priceless perk that cannot be understated.
