Unpopular opinion: sometimes weekend getaways are better than full vacations. Hear me out. I love a good week-long vacation, but you look forward to those seven days for months and then it flies by in a blink. Taking small getaways throughout the year has turned into a favorite for my family, because we always have another trip to look forward to next. Pigeon Forge is an awesome option for a weekend getaway, because there are so many fun things to do for all different interests and ages.
1. Wake up to Smoky Mountain Views.
o Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa offers amazing perks for your Pigeon Forge weekend getaway, like starting your day with this gorgeous scene and providing privileges that are included with your stay.
o All of Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Cabins boast stunning mountain views. The best part of these cabins is they are situated right in Pigeon Forge, so you are not far from attractions, stores, restaurants, etc.
o I’ll go ahead and tease Dollywood’s newest property, HeartSong Lodge & Resort, which will be tucked away in a beautiful cove in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains. The resort will start accepting reservations in the fall of 2022. Stay tuned for updates!
2. Do it all at Dollywood.
This one is for all my fellow value-seekers out there. You could go around town and pay for each individual attraction or you could do a plethora of activities that are included in your Dollywood admission. Plus, Dollywood offers festivals throughout the year that always adds even more to your experience.
