Must-Visit Spots on a Girls Trip to Gatlinburg

One of my favorite things to do in Gatlinburg is just enjoy the Smoky Mountains with my friends. Whether you are like me and live in East Tennessee, or you’re traveling from further away, a girls’ trip to Gatlinburg is a must-do getaway for any group of girlfriends. Once you’re in Gatlinburg, just about everything is within walking distance, and you can spend an entire day or more just roaming through the shops. There are several restaurants, attractions and activities for every girl in your group. Here is a list of my must-visit spots during my girls’ trips to Gatlinburg.

#1. Pink Jeep Adventure Tours

When I visit, this is always at the top of my list no matter what time of year our girls’ trip to Gatlinburg happens. I personally am not a hiker, but I love the Smoky Mountains. I love to pile in one of these iconic pink jeeps with my girls and take a guided tour of the Smokies. Pink Jeep offers several different tour routes. One of my favorites is the Gatlinburg Loop Smoky Mountains Tour, but you can’t go wrong with any of them. These two to three hour tours are great any time of year, because the jeep is open-air but can be covered and heated when it gets cooler outside. Your adventure guide will point out wildlife, historic spots and other areas on interest throughout the tour before taking you on an optional thrilling 4×4 off-road tour (this is my favorite part). It’s a great way to enjoy time with your friends for a few hours while getting a breathtaking view of Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mountains.

#2. Great Smoky Mountains National Park

Great Smoky Mountains National Park is a great spot to visit during a girls’ trip, especially if you love to hike and be outdoors. With visitor centers, trails for all experience levels, scenic views of the mountains and waterfalls, and beautiful roads to drive in Cades Coves, GSMNP is a great option for anyone looking to enjoy nature. My friends and I love to pack a picnic and take a short hike. It’s a great way to disconnect from the world and just really focus on spending time together.

#3. The Melting Pot

Fancy dinners are not only for date nights. One of my favorite things to do in Gatlinburg in general is eat great food, and The Melting Pot checks that box. During our girls’ trips, it’s fun to pick a night to get dressed up and enjoy a night out. The Melting Pot is an incredible fondue experience with cheeses, meats and my favorite, chocolate dessert. It’s great to go just for appetizers and dessert or the entire meal.

#4. Alamo Steakhouse

If fondue isn’t your thing or you’re looking for more than one great dinner option, Alamo Steakhouse is another must-visit spot during your girls’ trip to Gatlinburg. I’m sure you can tell by the name that Alamo Steakhouse serves steaks, but these are not just any ole steaks. The Alamo serves a variety of meats, including different cuts of steak, seafood, chicken and all kinds of delicious add-ons. And don’t forget to grab a slice of their award-winning key lime pie or my favorite, the “better than your mama’s” chocolate cake.

#5. Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa

While not technically in the city of Gatlinburg, Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa is the perfect home-base for your girls’ trip to Gatlinburg. Nestled in the Smokies, this resort is right next door to Dollywood and Dollywood’s Splash Country and only minutes away from Gatlinburg. With an incredible restaurant, inviting lounge area, pools, hot tub and more, DreamMore Resort has everything you need for your girls’ trip. My favorite spot? The Spa. The Spa at Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort is a full-service salon and spa. That means we can get manis, pedis, facials, massages and even get our hair done. Need I say more?

I hope this list has helped you make decisions about your own must-have spots during your next girls’ trip to Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mountains. With so much to see and do, you may need to make your girls’ trip to Gatlinburg an annual event. Have fun!
