Dollywood’s Summer Celebration
No trip to Gatlinburg is complete without visiting Dollywood! Visit one of the most popular theme parks of all time located right near the heart of town. When you visit Dollywood in July, the park stays open longer so you can ride all the roller coasters well into the evening hours. Summer Shows at Dollywood
Dollywood is home to multiple theaters and pavilions where guests can enjoy live music and entertainment inspired by Dolly Parton herself! Enjoy performances and sing along to country, bluegrass and southern gospel songs. Shows designed just for kids are sure to fill the room with laughter, singing and dancing. Take a break from the sun and cool off in the air-conditioned indoor theaters and experience one-of-a-kind summer shows at Dollywood.
The Craftsmen Fair takes place July 9-18 inside Gatlinburg’s Convention Center with over 200 booths of handmade products by artisans and craftsmen from all across America. Enjoy live music and shows while you stroll along and check out all the one-of-a-kind handmade items like pottery, copper art, candies, and art for your home. This is also a great addition to your calendar on a hot or rainy day!
Smoky Mountain Tunes & Tales
Every trip to Gatlinburg should include some live music, and each night in July you can catch Smoky Mountain Tunes & Tales, with entertainers and musicians performing for visitors in town all along the Parkway. This free event gets into the spirit of the Smoky Mountains with timeless bluegrass classics, dancers and cloggers, storytellers and costumed characters all month long!
Smoky Mountain Bigfoot Conference
Calling all Bigfoot enthusiasts! The third-annual Smoky Mountain Bigfoot Conference comes to town on July 24th at the Gatlinburg Convention Center. Whether you are a fan of Bigfoot or a total skeptic, you are bound to learn some fun and interesting tidbits at this one-of-a-kind conference!
Smoky Mountain Fan Fest
Don’t miss Smoky Mountain Fan Fest on July 31st and August 1st where you can attend meet and greets and take photos with stars from cult-classic movies! Enjoy the unique atmosphere that only these events can provide and be on the lookout for fantastic cosplays and costumes of pop-culture icons!
Celebrate Christmas in July at this unique Smoky Mountain attraction offering ice skating, ice bumper cars and summer tubing that is sure to entertain the whole family. Ober Gatlinburg offers year-round fun with a scenic mountaintop view. When you visit this attraction in the summer, you can also enjoy outdoor attractions like the Aerial Tramway, Ski Mountain Coaster and the Alpine Slide.
Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies
You don’t have to vacation near the beach to explore all the magnificent animals of the ocean! Visit Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies and your family can spot sharks, tropical fish and even a coral reef. Visit the interactive exhibits where you can touch a ray as it swims by or ride in a glass-bottom boat to see even more fish and friends up close!
