An expert calligrapher is on hand to personalize many of the ornaments for a treasure that lasts far beyond this season.

Something For the Dolly-Lover

For anyone interested in including our own Dolly into their holiday gifts, there’s an abundance of great gifts that even Santa probably has on his list! Dolly’s new Christmas album and holiday items from Williams Sonoma join the classic Coat of Many Colors ornament and Dolly Parton Coat of Many Colors doll as the perfect unique keepsake items for those who are looking to commemorate their trip to Dollywood. Available exclusively at Dollywood, the doll comes dressed like her legendary namesake in an authentic Coat of Many Colors with her guitar in hand. The doll was designed to resemble young Dolly as she was portrayed in the NBC television movies, Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors and Dolly Parton’s Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love. The collectable 18” dolls come in a colorful collector’s box and can be found at multiple locations inside Dollywood.

Dolly’s first Christmas album in 30 years, A Holly Dolly Christmas, includes classic Christmas favorites as well as a few Dolly originals. The album features duets with artists Billy Ray and Miley Cyrus, Willie Nelson, Michael Bublé and Jimmy Fallon. Dolly also recruited talent from her own musically-gifted family. Her brother Randy and his daughter Heidi lend their voices to a special song titled You Are My Christmas, and her niece Jada Roberts with Barry Jobe wrote the song Christmas Where We Are.  A Holly Dolly Christmas is available now, and it debuted as the #1 holiday album and the #1 country album on the Billboard music charts.

Dolly’s new holiday collection, in collaboration with Williams Sonoma, was inspired by her favorite Christmas family traditions. The collection features the necessities for Dolly’s “cookie night,” which includes Holly Dolly Sugar Cookie Mix and the Holly Dolly Cookie Baking Kit. The Dolly Parton Pre-Built Log Cabin is Dolly’s pre-baked take on a classic gingerbread house inspired by her Tennessee mountain home. The collection also features aprons inspired by Dolly’s coat of many colors and a potholder and oven mitt set.

And For Those Who Appreciate Art

Handcrafted items abound at Dollywood, and a heartfelt item made by one of our craftspeople is a gift sure to please. At Mountain Blown Glass, ornaments and angels made in a kaleidoscope of festive colors are perfect for that hard to please person, and unique treasures always can be found at the Blacksmith & Foundry, Custom Glassworks, Smoky Creek Leather, Valley Wood Carvers and Old Flames Candles. Additionally, three of our favorite crafters from the Harvest Festival are extending their stay to include Smoky Mountain Christmas. Marveta Foutch will offer festive Christmas wreaths, Gale Littleton will have unique landscape, seascape, and floral paintings, and Sherry Loper features monogrammed clothing and seasonal décor, all in Craftsman’s Valley.

And, with all these holiday gift options, don’t forget to utilize Dollywood’s Package Pick-Up service while completing your Christmas list! It’s a great way to “shop until you drop” without having a worry about carrying all your keepsakes with you all day.

About the Author:

If it has anything to do with East Tennessee, this Dollywood blogger loves it. Ellen Liston was born in Kingsport and grew up in a rural environment that she says has many similarities to the Sevier County area and the beautiful Smoky Mountains here. When she’s not at Dollywood or enjoying the multitude of activities and attractions in these mountains, Ellen can usually be found cheering on the Tennessee Volunteers, particularly at football and Lady Vols basketball games, or hanging out with her family – sometimes cheering on the Vols together! Some of her favorite things are reading almost any kind of book imaginable, history, crime dramas (especially Perry Mason and Forensic Files), old movies, ‘80s music, and most anything to do with her Scottish heritage, including kilts and bagpipes. She and her husband Scott live in South Knoxville on 6 acres with their yellow labs, Charlie and Rudy, and a Maine Coon cat with a major attitude, Sam.
