Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain String Band

Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain String Band is one of my favorite entertainment options at Dollywood. There is just something about upbeat bluegrass music that really says Dollywood and the Great Smoky Mountains. The banjo, fiddle, guitar and bass accompany the band members’ voices perfectly as they sing some of my favorites like Dolly’s Daddy was an Old Time Preacher Man. What I also love about the band is the performers’ personalities—they really do shine through in each and every performance.

One thing I look forward to each year is taking the band to perform at our local TV stations. It’s so much for fun to talk with them as well as hear them play.

With everything going on this year, I didn’t get to travel with the band. So instead, I am helping you get to know our Smoky Mountain String Band through this vlog. I hope you enjoy getting to know the band and consider adding it to your list of things to do this spring.
