From Opening to Now: Additions to Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa

It’s hard to believe that five short years ago, crews were still hard at work getting Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa ready to open. July 27, 2020, marks the resort’s fifth birthday, and my-oh-my how it has grown and changed since then. Let’s take a look at some of the guest experiences Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa has added to help families create even more of those precious memories.

Dollywood's DreamMore Resort and Spa turns 5 years old in...

One of my favorite things about vacation is the food, and the culinary services team at Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa knows how to take your experience to the next level. Since opening, the resort has added several new dining experiences to make guests’ vacations even more memorable… and delicious.

Dollywood’s Grist Mill Cinnamon Bread  ̶  Of course this is at the very top of my list. No trip to Dollywood is complete without a loaf ̶ or five ̶ of this world-famous cinnamon bread. But the thing about getting cinnamon bread at the Grist Mill is, well…you have to be at Dollywood. So what about those times you have a craving and Dollywood is closed? Or you’re so full leaving the park you can’t even think about cinnamon bread but end up wanting some later? Or, my usual dilemma, you eat the whole thing before you leave the park and have none left to take home? Well, in 2018, Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa added cinnamon bread to the menu at the DM Pantry, and now, you can get that delicious, hot cinnamon bread all year long.

Baked-To-Go Pizza  ̶  Speaking of the DM Pantry, cinnamon bread isn’t the only mouth-watering addition to the menu since the resort opened. In 2016, the DM Pantry added fresh, baked-to-order pizza to the menu. After a fun-filled day with the kids, sometimes pizza and a movie in your guest room is the perfect dinner solution. Guests can order from a variety of pizza and salad options, then conveniently pick up their meal in the DM Pantry.

All-Day Dining  ̶  In 2017, The Lounge added All-Day Dining. Guests can enjoy a delicious meal anytime from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. This full-service menu offers a variety of appetizers, salads, entrees and desserts. This dining option is ideal for families and guests looking to slow down and enjoy some quality time in a more casual dining setting.

Poolside Dining  ̶  Since the resort’s opening, guests have been able to enjoy the Swimming Hole, the resort’s beautiful outdoor swimming pool. But, what guests didn’t have at the beginning was the convenient option to order food and drinks right from their lounge chairs. In 2018, the resort added Poolside Dining. This dining experience gives guests the ability to enjoy refreshing summer drinks, delicious meals and mouth-watering desserts without ever leaving the pool area. More time at the Swimming Hole means more time soaking up the sun and creating memories.

In-Room Dining  ̶  Poolside Dining isn’t the only convenient dining option the resort added in 2018. To provide guests with even more flexibility, the resort rolled out In-Room Dining. Guests are now able order breakfast, lunch and dinner right from their guest rooms.

Family-Friendly Entertainment:

Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa is a place where families can spend time together exploring, creating and dreaming. One way families can create memories is with the many activities around the resort. Since opening, the resort has added even more ways for families to have fun together.

Live Music  ̶  Dolly’s influence is sprinkled all throughout Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa and that includes the entertainment. It wouldn’t be Dolly’s resort without fantastic live music. In 2016, the resort added live music Friday and Saturday nights as another way for families to spend quality time together. Whether it’s from the comfort of the couches or up on their feet dancing and clapping, guests can enjoy the sounds of incredible local talent in the resort’s lower lobby.

Ranger Talks  ̶  Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa is surrounded by the incredible beauty and wonder of the Great Smoky Mountains. The Smokies are filled with history, unique plants and wildlife and incredible places to explore. In 2016, the resort’s Camp DW program added Ranger Talks every Sunday night. This educational ̶ but exceptionally entertaining ̶ program is led by a retired Great Smoky Mountain’s National Park ranger who explores a variety of topics on the Great Smoky Mountains. Kids and parents alike love learning all about the beautiful mountains surrounding the resort.

Complimentary S’mores  ̶  Since opening, s’mores around the fire pit have been a guest favorite. Every night from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m., guests have been able to make and enjoy this delicious gooey treat. When the resort first opened in 2015, s’mores were $5 per kit, with each kit making two s’mores. In 2019, Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa wanted to make s’mores a complimentary experience for guests. Now, guests can enjoy this same treat at no additional cost. That’s a pretty sweet deal.

The Spa:

The Spa at Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort offers guests relaxation in the midst of the excitement and fun. The Spa offers full-service treatments that are perfect for couples, mother-daughter weekends, girlfriends’ getaways and more. Since opening, The Spa has grown to accommodate even more memory-making and relaxing fun.

Treatment Rooms  ̶  The Spa at Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort was a must-have amenity from the start. The full-service salon and spa has indulgent customizable treatments for everyone in the family. When the resort first opened, The Spa had three beautiful treatment rooms for massages and facials. In the first year, the popularity of The Spa grew and it was time to add on. In 2016, The Spa added a fourth treatment room that is primarily for facials. This additional room allows The Spa to pamper more guests and create more relaxing memories.

Spa Membership  ̶  It’s no secret that for most of us, going to the spa is a “treat-yourself” kind of experience, but what if I told you that The Spa at Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort has an exclusive membership to help you save money on your services? In 2019, The Spa rolled out a special Spa Membership with special Spa perks. The Spa Membership at Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort is available to everyone and includes Buy One, Get One FREE Spa services Monday through Thursday AND 25% off the breakfast and dinner buffets at Song & Hearth: A Southern Eatery.  The Spa Membership is $100 and is good for the entire calendar year. With that kind of deal, there is no reason not to get a mani AND a pedi every. single. time.

In the last five years, Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa has been an incredible destination where families can spend quality time together exploring, learning, dreaming and creating. I can’t wait to see what incredible guest experiences the resort adds for families in the next five years. Stay tuned!
