Locker Secrets

Lockers are an important detail during your water park visit, but they can get overlooked in the planning process. I want you to be well-informed, so here are my tips for renting lockers at Dollywood’s Splash Country:

Where to rent your locker:

There are lockers all over the park, but most people rent lockers near the front. There aren’t many attractions near the front…

My suggestion is to consider where you’ll spend most of your day. I’m guessing you had that planned out since you’ve started planning on things to do this fall. There are lockers near Campsite Grill and Little Creek Falls. There are more around the wave pool and even more near Bear Mountain Fire Tower and The Cascades. If you don’t plan to camp out in particular spot, go for the centrally-located lockers near the wave pool.

What to put in your locker:

Um, this is up to you. What I really wanted to say is what NOT to put in your locker. See my next tip below.

What NOT to put in your locker:

Your shoes! Bare feet can get hot very quickly as you walk on sunbaked concrete. Wear your shoes and if you need to remove them for an attraction, you can either hold them or ask the life guard to send them down after you. Trust me. It’s worth having your shoes!

What if you lose your locker key:

Trick question! You don’t have to keep up with a key. You will choose a code and you can use it as many times as you like throughout your stay.

Pretty basic, right?
