Saddle Up at Dolly Parton’s Stampede: A First-Time Experience

Editor’s note: This guest post is written by Madi Mayfield, who just joined the Dollywood PR team in January. She had never visited Dolly Parton’s Stampede, so she documented her experience to share with you.

It’s not every day that you get to enjoy dinner with a side of racing pigs, longhorn cattle, live music and horse tricks, but Dolly Parton’s Stampede isn’t your every day dinner theater. For a first-timer like myself, the show is full of surprises, laughs, and a whole lot of fun! From horses jumping through rings of fire, children herding chickens, and stomping along with the crowd, there was never a dull moment in the show. I was enchanted for the full hour and a half of entertainment magic. For anyone visiting the Pigeon Forge area, Dolly Parton’s Stampede would be at the top of my recommendation list. From the opportunity to visit with the “stars” in their stalls to the pre-show fun, the food, and the show itself—you will have a blast!
